Pancakes
Equipment
- Non-stick pan and silicone spatula
- Med to large mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (195g) flour
- 1 1/4 cup (~300ml) milk
- 1 egg
- 5 tbsp (~70g) butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- (optional) 2 tsp vanilla
Steps
- Mix dry ingredients in large bowl
- Create well in center of dry ingredients and add wet ingredients
- Whisk until smooth, *adding more milk as necessary (consistency should be a thick liquid or pourable batter)
- Pour into nonstick pan over medium-low heat. Check for readiness to flip after bubbles appear, ~2 min
Extras
- Set aside a 1/2 cup batter and add food coloring. Place batter in piping bag (or ziploc with corner cut off) and use to draw on pancake after pouring
- After initial pour, add chocolate chips or shredded cheese. To minimize sticking to pan, do not move after flipping!
